Talampaya National Park, in Argentina, is the guardian of the 10th Solar Disc — Mitakunah. This red sandstone canyon, with cliffs up to 143m high, contains petroglyphs from pre-Inca civilizations and rock formations 250 million years old. Em 2026, drones de alta resolução revelaram gravuras rupestres inéditas no Parque Nacional Talampaya, Argentina. As imagens e amostras coletadas melhoram a compreensão das culturas Diaguita e Ciénaga na região. O uso de fotogrametria permitiu acessar áreas antes inacessíveis, ampliando o patrimônio arqueológico reconhecido pela UNESCO.
Talampaya National Park in Argentina is home to 32 rock art sites approximately 1,500 years old, created by the La Aguada culture (500–1000 CE). The engravings on the red sandstone walls depict stylized human figures, animals such as camelids and birds, and geometric patterns—some bearing similarities to rock art from other continents. The site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 and indicates that the region was used by pre-Columbian peoples as a sacred space, for hunting, and for burial over more than two millennia.
