About this portal

Tiwanaku is one of the oldest and most mysterious archaeological sites in the Americas, the center of a pre-Inca civilization that flourished between 300 and 1000 AD. The Sun Gate (Puerta del Sol) contains a cosmic calendar. Located at an altitude of 3,850 m, near Lake Titicaca, it is considered a portal between dimensions.

Tiwanaku ritual offerings at Khoa Reef on Lake Titicaca

Archaeological excavations at Khoa Reef on Lake Titicaca revealed thousands of offerings from the Tiwanaku civilization (500–1100 CE). Gold medallions, lapis lazuli figurines, puma-shaped incense burners, Spondylus shells brought from Ecuador, and sacrificed llama fetuses were found. Sonar and photogrammetry studies indicate that the offerings were deposited from boats, and the site was likely an emergent reef at the time.
