About this portal

The Callanish Stones are a megalithic complex in the shape of a Celtic cross, older than Stonehenge (2900 BCE). The 13 monoliths form a circle with avenues extending toward the cardinal points. The lunar alignment every 18.6 years creates the phenomenon of the 'Shining' when the moon seems to walk over the stones.
